Is Your Child at Risk of Lead Poisoning? Join us to Learn and Take Action!

October 19 @ 7:00 pm 8:00 pm EDT

Many people know that children can be exposed to lead from paint in older houses, in drinking water, and even in our food. But did you know that there are more ways children are at risk for lead poisoning? Or that there is no safe level of exposure?

Join us as we prepare for Lead Poisoning Prevention Week for tips and tools to understand how children in the Great Lakes region are still at risk for lead poisoning AND to take action with us to make our homes and communities safer for all our children.

This webinar is being coordinated by the Ecology Center, the Learning Disabilities Association of America, and the Learning Disabilities Association of Michigan and is sponsored by all of our Great Lakes Lead Elimination (GLLEN) Partners: BlueGreen Alliance, Clean+Healthy, Clean Water Action, Clear Corps Detroit, City of Grand Rapids Community Development, Coalition on Lead Emergency, Concerned Citizens Organized Against Lead, DLEAD – Wayne State University Center for Urban Studies, Ecology Center, Elevate, Families for Lead Freedom Now, Healthy Homes Coalition of West Michigan, Illinois Environmental Council, Ingham County Health Department, Lead Safe Cleveland, Learning Disabilities Association of America, Learning Disabilities Association of Illinois, Learning Disabilities Association of Indiana, Learning Disabilities Association of Michigan, Learning Disabilities Association of Minnesota, Learning Disabilities Association of New York, Learning Disabilities Association of Pennsylvania,  Learning Disabilities Association of Ohio, Learning Disabilities Association of Wisconsin, Midwest Environmental Advocates / COLE, National Wildlife Federation, Ohio Healthy Homes Network, Ohio Lead Free Kids Coalition, Parents for Healthy Homes, Public Health – Delta & Menominee Counties, Sierra Club Illinois Chapter, Women for a Healthy Environment
