52nd Annual LDA Conference Fast Approaches

The 52nd Annual Learning Disabilities Association of America Conference in Chicago is less than a week away!  Educators, professionals, parents and individuals will gather at the Chicago Hilton starting February 18, 2015 to hear speakers and presenters address current issues such as employment, technology and education as they relate to individuals with learning disabilities. LDA Comments on ESEA bill

LDA has spent significant time discussing the major issues surfacing in the reauthorization of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA, currently known as No Child Left Behind). The Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP) Committee Chairman, Lamar Alexander (R-TN), issued a draft bill which is expected to be acted on in the Committee in late February.
