During LDA’s annual membership meeting, held in conjunction with our 53rd Annual Conference February 16th in Orlando, FL, the delegates voted to unify our membership across the country in a measure that moves our organization in line with other nationally based membership organizations. Whether you are a member in Alaska or Florida, Maine or Mississippi, annual membership dues will be the same. Therefore the following resolution was approved:
RESOLVED that the Assembly of Delegates establishes the following amounts as the annual dues for Regular and Student members for LDA National and its affiliates, effective July 1, 2016:
- Regular – Individual dues: $55, of which $25 is for National
- Regular – Institution dues: $300 (including up to 5 individuals and one Journal subscription), of which $125 is for National and $45 is for Journal
- Student – dues: $25, of which $15 is for National.
The decision to shift to a unified membership fee was based on several factors that had come up in recent years. We are excited to streamline our membership rates to lessen any confusion as to what its value is from state to state.
