Due to the national focus of LDA, the resources listed are nationally-based resources. This is not a complete list of resources, but should be a good place to start. Topics covered are internet-accessible job search, Federal employment, workplace accommodations, and other resources to assist people with disabilities who are seeking employment. The President’s Executive Order to increase the hiring of people with disabilities was signed in August 2010 to increase hires of
individuals with disabilities in the federal government. This site helps users understand federal disability hiring programs, learn about getting job accommodations in the federal workplace, access resources related to the employment of people with disabilities, find laws and Executive Orders related to the employment of people with disabilities, and find frequently asked questions about employment discrimination.

Rehabilitation Services Administration (RSA)

RSA oversees grant programs that help individuals with disabilities to obtain employment and live more independently by providing supports like counseling, medical and psychological services, job training and other individualized services. To find your local vocational RSA office, go to http://rsa.ed.gov/people.cfm and click on “State Agencies/Contacts.” Each state’s contact information is listed.
ABILITY Jobs and Job Access
