Due to the national focus of LDA, the resources listed are nationally-based resources. This is not a complete list of resources, but should be a good place to start. Topics covered are internet-accessible job search, Federal employment, workplace accommodations, and other resources to assist people with disabilities who are seeking employment. United States Department of Labor –
Office of Disability Employment Policy
This site provides a shortcut to information and services the Department of Labor (DOL) offers job seekers. It has links for people with disabilities.

The purpose of this site is to provide the most comprehensive listing of useful internet-accessible job-search resources and
services on the web, in a format which is most useful to job seekers. The site also has a directory of all state employment offices.

US Office of Personnel Management, Federal Employment of People with Disabilities
The President’s Executive Order to increase the hiring of people with disabilities was signed in August 2010 to increase hires of
individuals with disabilities in the federal government. This site helps users understand federal disability hiring programs, learn about getting job accommodations in the federal workplace, access resources related to the employment of people with disabilities, find laws and Executive Orders related to the employment of people with disabilities, and find frequently asked questions about employment discrimination.

Job Accommodation Network (JAN)
JAN is the leading source of free, expert, and confidential guidance on workplace accommodations and disability employment issues. Working toward practical solutions that benefit both employer and employee, JAN helps people with disabilities improve their employability, and shows employers how to capitalize on the value and talent that people with disabilities add to the workplace.

Pathways to Employment
This site helps people with disabilities make informed decisions about going to work.

This site provides employment resources and opportunities for people with disabilities to gather, network, and connect with employers and work opportunities.

Rehabilitation Services Administration (RSA)
RSA oversees grant programs that help individuals with disabilities to obtain employment and live more independently by providing supports like counseling, medical and psychological services, job training and other individualized services. To find your local vocational RSA office, go to and click on “State Agencies/Contacts.” Each state’s contact information is listed.

ABILITY Jobs and Job Access
The goal of ABILITY Jobs and Job Access is to enable people with disabilities to enhance their professional lives by providing a dedicated system for finding employment. By posting job opportunities or searching resumes, employers can find qualified persons with disabilities from entry-level candidates to advanced degrees.

Sierra Group Full Disabilities Job Board
An online resource that lists employers, career news, featured available jobs, a tool to create a resume, job alerts when something is posted that fits specified criteria, and more. A great starting place for people with disabilities who are looking for jobs.

United States Business Leadership Network® (USBLN®)
The USBLN® is the national disability organization that serves as the collective voice of over 60 Business Leadership Network affiliates across North America, representing over 5,000 employers. The USBLN® has links to many state affiliates and member businesses that support the hiring of individuals with disabilities.

Think Beyond the Label
National private-public partnership that aids job seekers with disabilities by providing an on-line portal to connect job seekers with disabilities to employers actively looking to hire them.

American Association for People with Disabilities Employment Resources
Many resources are available to assist people with disabilities who are seeking employment. A wide array of resources for jobseekers and employers can be accessed through the website.
